Dr Nesr Farooq is Currently working in Shalimar Medical and Dental College, Lahore. He specializes in the management of retinal disorders such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes and macular degeneration. He previously worked as Senior Consultant at LRBT Hospital. As a retinal surgeon, he has vast experience of dealing with advanced and complex cataracts, in addition to dealing with complications of cataract surgery.
Diabetic retinopathy
is a diabetes complication that affects eyes. It's caused by damage to the blood vessels of the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye (retina). At first, diabetic retinopathy might cause no symptoms or only mild vision problems
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
is an eye disease that can blur your central vision. It happens when aging causes damage to the macula — the part of the eye that controls sharp, straight-ahead vision. The macula is part of the retina (the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye)
Chalazion
is a red bump on your eyelid. It is sometimes called an eyelid cyst or a meibomian cyst. It slowly forms when an oil gland (called a meibomian) becomes blocked. At first, the chalazion may be painful, but after a little time, it usually doesn't hurt.

is a small break in the macula, located in the center of the eye's light-sensitive tissue called the retina. The macula provides the sharp, central vision we need for reading, driving, and seeing fine detail. A macular hole can cause blurred and distorted central vision
